It's been over a year since I've posted anything at all. And it's been the absolute craziest year of my life!!
I'll catch you up in a minute.
First, let's talk about my name. I need to change it up. First of all, I'm not in Columbus anymore. Second of all, I need this to be about more than just coupons. So, I'm taking suggestions :) What should I call my blog??
Now I'm going to ramble on about myself for a while... consider it a reintroduction. If you don't know me, I'm Charlee. I'm in grad school now, getting my Masters degree focusing on Autism studies, special education and behavior analysis. I love exploring the new treatments and developments in the field, and I have big ideas for the future. The rest of the time I am a stay-at-home mom to four amazing little girls between 8 months old and 4 years old. The oldest goes to preschool, the others stay home with me. We try to do some homeschool/unschool type stuff as much as we can.
Now for the biggest news... I just got married!! We decided on a whim to run off and elope, luckily we are in Ohio and we could get our marriage license instantly and said our vows the next day. Somehow my big mouth managed to keep it mostly quiet, until my sister instagrammed a "just married" picture... which was instantly shared by hubby's ex-wife's aunt (crazy much?!) Hubby and I decided we would still have a big wedding, fancy dress and all. I just started planning it, um... yesterday lol. So expect to see a lot of that stuff on here :)
I've been on the longest couponing hiatus ever.... haven't had a single haul since the baby was born...over 8 months ago (yikes!!) My stockpile is running low, and it's really time to get back on my game. With the couponing, I will start meal planning again.... anything to cut back on expenses.
With everything else going on around here, we just found our dream property. The house is crap, they're charging way too much... but we love it. Buying a house is crazy. All the time and back and fourth with the crazy home owners. It's exhausting. The plan is to buy the land, tear down the house and build our dream. Serious future building going on over here!!
So that's what you'll be reading about over here, for the most part. Anything and everything to do with my life right now.... autism studies and treatments, homeschooling, unschooling, preschool ideas, kids crafts and activities, cleaning and organization ideas and schedules and hacks, recipes and meal plans, budgets, my new life as a wife and step-mom, couponing, frugal living, wedding planning, house buying and building....
We are also joining a church... it's the first time in my life I will be a member of a religious organization of any kind. You can probably count on some of that journey making it's way onto the blog too. Anything and everything "Charlee".
